Discovery

The Discovery Reading List currently includes the novels and comics which have included references to elements of the wider Lit-verse, or to each other. In addition, references in parts of Star Trek #400 and Star Trek #500 connect Discovery stories from those works. 

Since the Discovery Reading List does not have a main Lit-verse storyline, as many of the other series do, the orange denotes the expanded storyline of the television series. Read any or all of these to go a bit deeper. The white denotes every other connected story, regardless of overall continuity.

As always, not every reference to every other story is mentioned, just the one I chose as most important to show the expanding Lit-verse web.

  • References Pahkwa-thanh from STAR TREK: TITAN.

  • Features the Strange New Worlds crew.

  • Takes place one year before "The Vulcan Hello."

  • Fundamentally contradicted by Season Two.

Captain Saru

  • References the events of THE WAY TO THE STARS.

  • Takes place during "Will You Take My Hand."

The Enterprise War

  • References Commander Una, named in TOS: LEGACIES- CAPTAIN TO CAPTAIN.

  • Features the Strange New Worlds crew.

  • Takes place during the entire span of Season One.

Die Standing

  • References Thionoga Detention Center from PREY: HELL'S HEART.

  • Takes place between "Will You Take My Hand?" and "Brother."

Dead Endless

  • References Andorian spice bread from STARGAZER: OBLIVION.

  • Takes place from late Season One to early Season Two.

The Starfleeter

  • Discovery story in IDW Comics' STAR TREK #400.

  • Takes place just after "That Hope is You."

Adventures in the 32nd Century: Kayla Detmer

  • Issue #3 of the IDW Comics miniseries.

  • Events referenced in THE STARFLEETER.

  • Takes place just before "Kobayashi Maru."

The Unexpected Mentor

  • Discovery story in IDW Comics' STAR TREK #500.
